WATERFALL CHASERS TOUR
From: $750.00
Description
My wife and I are waterfall chasing nuts! I started chasing waterfalls 40 years ago in Texas where they are typically small, few and far between. When I moved to Tennessee 32 years ago, I discovered that this is a waterfall paradise! With over 100 falls in the state, we have explored over half of them. I’ve screened through them and have chosen the best of the best, and most are right here in Middle Tennessee! And of those, most are very accessible. So I would love to share them with you! I’ve put together both a half and full day tour, so it’s your choice how involved you want to get.
- Wear some shoes you don’t mind getting wet or muddy, and get ready for an adventure you’ll cherish for many years to come!
- The trails aren’t a flat walk, they can get steep in places, but they are by no means brutal.
And I’ll be with you every step of the way. School age 3rd graders and up welcome. Dogs can be discussed. You’ll want lots of pics of these amazing falls & I’ll help with ones of your family no problem!
ITINERARY
I’ll either pick you up at 9 am or 1 pm (or 2pm Sundays) given your preference, in Nashville or within close proximity. If you need to meet further outside Nashville that can be discussed. We will drive to Manchester, approximately an hour away, and stop by the Old Stone Fort Park and headquarters for a brief orientation and visit to the souvenir shop. Then we’ll take our time and hike down to three wonderful falls including Blue Hole, Big and Step Falls. After exploring those we’ll return to the shop if you’d like to look for souvenirs. We will head back to Nashville at that point unless we are ahead of schedule, in which case I’ll add a bonus waterfall that’s not far away. Once we’re done we’ll hike back up and head back to Nashville. The whole trip there and back should last 3-1/2 to 4 hours.
